Cerec One Visit Crown

One Visit Crowns

Very few of us have perfect teeth free of decay and/or fillings.  You can probably see a filling or two in your own mouth. In many cases, those fillings are made of a metal material that can
fracture, weaken the tooth, or get additional decay under or around it.

CEREC is a method used by our office to restore any tooth that is decayed, weakened, broken, etc. to its natural strength and beauty.  Better yet, it is done in a single appointment with all-ceramic materials that are tooth-colored!

Advantages to Cerec dentistry are

Time savings
Our patients usually only have to come one time, as opposed to two trips for a traditional crown; this also reduces the number of local anesthetic injections (shots) needed.
More conservation of tooth structure
Oftentimes a partial coverage restoration can be completed vs a full conventional crown.  This is made possible due to our ability to bond the porcelain onto your tooth.
Stronger porcelain
Milled ceramic is stronger than other porcelains that are layered onto teeth.
Cosmetic
Porcelain blends in better than other materials.
Natural.
Ability to copy what was there previously can yield restorations that are duplicates of the pre-prepared tooth.
